Baba Tee’s Affair Scandal: Actor Confesses to Relationship with Comedian Ijoba Lande’s Wife
Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has retracted his earlier statements and confessed to having an intimate encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian and skit maker Ganiyu Morufu, also known as Ijoba Lande.
The revelation came during a live session on Sunday with popular socialite Esabod and several TikTok influencers, directly contradicting Baba Tee’s previous denial of the allegations.
Baba Tee’s Initial Denial and Legal Threats
Previously, Baba Tee had challenged Ijoba Lande to provide concrete proof supporting the accusation, even threatening legal action over defamation claims. However, in a shocking twist, the 45-year-old actor admitted that the encounter did take place but insisted that it happened under the influence of alcohol during a ‘Truth or Dare’ game, involving Dara and Lande’s manager, Marygold.
Ijoba Lande’s Allegations of Multiple Affairs
Ijoba Lande had earlier accused his wife of infidelity with multiple men in the entertainment industry, naming Baba Tee among at least 21 individuals allegedly involved with Dara. This revelation led to the breakdown of their marriage, prompting widespread reactions on social media.
Baba Tee Reveals Details of the Encounter
Initially, Baba Tee maintained that he had only met Dara once through Marygold, who introduced her as an upcoming content creator and artiste. He claimed that he had no knowledge of her marriage to Ijoba Lande at the time.
However, in his recent confession, Baba Tee narrated how the affair unfolded under unexpected circumstances.
“When Marygold and Dara visited my house, Marygold mentioned that she wanted me to serve as the MC for her upcoming event. She never told me she was bringing anyone along. When she introduced Dara, she simply described her as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife. Later, they started asking if I had any Qatar connections before suggesting we play ‘Truth or Dare,’” he recounted.
How the ‘Truth or Dare’ Game Led to the Affair
Baba Tee described how the game escalated into an intimate encounter.
“Marygold got completely undressed and kept daring Dara while consuming alcohol. Dara continuously chose ‘Dare’ over ‘Truth.’ Eventually, Marygold dared Dara to allow me a ‘quick’ sexual encounter, and she agreed,” Baba Tee admitted.
He insisted that his initial denial was due to his ignorance of Dara’s marital status at the time, stating that the incident was staged to damage his reputation.
Esabod Urges Baba Tee to Apologize
Following his confession, socialite Esabod advised Baba Tee to offer a formal apology to Ijoba Lande, especially after threatening legal action when the allegations first emerged.
Shortly after the interview, Baba Tee publicly expressed regret on his official Facebook page.
“I deeply apologize from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. I had no idea Dara was your wife… Hmmm. I fear women,” he wrote.
