A devastating Christmas Day accident left 22 people injured when a commercial bus lost control and crashed into a group of celebrants in Gombe State, Nigeria.
The incident occurred as the Tumfure community procession was heading to the Gombe Emir’s Palace and Government House to pay homage. According to the Gombe State Police Command spokesperson, Buhari Abdullahi, the injured individuals were promptly transported to the Federal Teaching Hospital and Specialist Hospital for medical attention.
This unfortunate event has cast a somber tone on Christmas celebrations in the area, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
