Stakeholders across the 484 political wards and 44 local government areas of Kano State, operating under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have formally declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s preferred presidential flagbearer for the 2027 general elections.

During the gathering organised to solidify this collective decision, former APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje addressed party members and emphasised the importance of unity as the nation gradually approaches the next election cycle. He highlighted that the primary aim of the meeting was to reinforce harmony within the party while strengthening cooperation with the federal administration led by President Tinubu.

Ganduje noted that maintaining cohesion is essential for political stability, especially as grassroots leaders from all wards and local governments converge to align their perspectives. According to him, consistent engagement among party members will ensure that the APC remains strong, coordinated, and focused on delivering national goals.

He further explained that the endorsement signifies a shared commitment to continuity and the advancement of key policies being implemented at the federal level. By presenting Tinubu as a unified candidate, Kano APC stakeholders believe they are positioning the party for a more strategic and organized path towards victory in 2027.

The meeting, which brought together leaders, influencers, and political representatives across Kano State, reflects the widespread approval of President Tinubu’s leadership. Participants reaffirmed their readiness to support the administration’s long-term development agenda and ensure that the APC remains firmly grounded, especially in states with large voting populations like Kano.
