This was disclosed by the acting director-general, Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, during a press briefing in Abuja. Key Locations Affected The affected areas included Prince and Princess Estate, Guzape District, Garki 2, Kubwa, and Sabon Lugbe near Airport Road. Engr. Mohammed provided a comprehensive review of the department’s emergency responses over the year, highlighting its critical interventions in building collapses, fire outbreaks, flooding, earth tremors, and relief distribution. 2024 Emergency Response Highlights Innovations in Disaster Management Looking ahead, FEMD plans to enhance disaster management by: Road Safety Campaign As part of its Ember Month campaign, FEMD partnered with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to launch “Operation Eagle Eye,” an initiative designed to educate commercial drivers about safe driving practices in FCT motor parks.
