NCC Set to Unveil New Telecom Tariff Plans on December 13, 2024

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to announce new tariff plans for the telecommunications sector on December 13, 2024, marking a significant step towards improved consumer experience and industry regulation. Details of the New Tariff Plans The announcement was made by the NCC Executive Vice Chairman, Dr. Maida Waida, through the Director of Public Affairs, Reuben Muoka, during an interactive session in Abuja. Key highlights of the upcoming tariff plans include: Addressing Data Depletion Concerns Dr. Waida addressed complaints regarding data depletion, emphasizing that the issue often stems from misconceptions rather than service provider errors. “Data consumption varies by device. Telecom Operators to Update Contact Details The NCC also directed telecom operators to update their contact details by January 9, 2025.
