Mirjana Spoljaric, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), has issued a strong statement describing the current situation in Gaza as “hell on earth.” Her warning comes in the wake of intensifying Israeli military operations, which have displaced hundreds of thousands of civilians and blocked vital humanitarian supplies.
According to the United Nations Human Rights Office, the conditions in Gaza are so dire that it may no longer be sustainable for Palestinian civilians to live there.

On top of that, a total blockade on Gaza—imposed since March 2—has cut off access to essential goods, including food, medicine, and emergency supplies.
