Police Rescue Operation in Edo According to a statement released on Saturday in Benin by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (CSP Moses Yamu), the rescue mission was executed on Friday at approximately 6:00 p.m. The successful operation was made possible through continuous police efforts, with strong backing from the Edo State Government, local vigilante groups, skilled hunters, and concerned residents. Edo Commissioner of Police’s Pledge The Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Betty Otimenyin, had earlier vowed to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped monarch. Her team worked relentlessly to fulfill this promise, leading to the monarch’s eventual rescue. Yamu expressed gratitude on behalf of the Edo State Police Command, acknowledging the logistical support provided by Governor Monday Okpebholo. “The Command also extends its appreciation to the vigilante groups, hunters, and residents for their unwavering support. Our commitment to fighting crime in Edo State remains firm,” Yamu stated.
