Former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has openly expressed heartfelt gratitude to one of the most influential political figures in his life—Dr. Peter Odili.

In a candid conversation with Daily Sun, Amaechi was asked to name someone outside his immediate family who played a pivotal role in shaping his life journey. “Dr. Odili was more than a political leader to me. His support went beyond politics—he stood by me during my lowest moments. I remember when I lost my father and had no financial capacity to give him a befitting burial, Dr. Odili stepped in and assisted me,” Amaechi stated.
